  • Thankful challenge - Day Eight

steadfastmom  has been posting a challenge, to say something that she's thankful for her husband about every day for thirty days.   This challenge is open for participation, so please feel free to join in.  I'm finding that it's a wonderful and refreshing exercise in thinking positively about someone I love.

    Day Eight

My husband helps me shop for groceries.  Again, this is a simple and small 'thankful', but important.  He will help me make the list, look through the sales circulars and plan menus.  He doesn't mind driving me to the store or waiting patiently outside for me and pulling up to the curb and helping load, then unload at home.  After so many years of hauling the provisions home, this is truly something that I appreciate.  His eyes no longer glass over with  boredom when I tell him about an especially good sale buy, or how much I saved, but instead, he's come to see the value in saving a dollar, or two.

I always really appreciate this in my husband as well.  Especially when I need to take our 5 children.

Wow that is neat! I don't even like to grocery shop myself! :)

This is a brilliant challenge. I just started Revelife and am not done with my look, or even started blogging. But what I shall do is blog about the challenge, AND write that down as a note to my love of my life ... to show him how much I really do appreciate him. The first few days that you posted for your challenge almost put me into tears. I'll explain the whole story in my first couple blogs. =)

    yay!

I agree with BloodySurvivor -- this is a brilliant challenge. Unfortunately I am a long way off from meeting my guy, so ... can't this this one.  .... Still I wait for him. So it's all good.
Your husband sounds like a great guy! I'm so glad God has blessed you with him!

On the topic of being thankful a friend recently gave me the idea to write something I'm thankful for everyday on a post it not and putting it on my mirror or on the wall in my room. Which I have been doing, and it's such a great reminder. I can't wait to get a wall of purple post-it notes!! :D :D [Hmm.... perhaps I shall blog about this one. ;)]

Love your site by the way. It's so serene and the colors are lovely.
